If you’re a whizz with the old mobile phone SMS texting and you like to dabble with poetry then T-Mobile’s latest competition is for you. They’re looking for a Txt Poet Laureate and the winner will be rewarded with a £1000 prize. The competition is open to anyone in the UK and the closing date for entries is midday on 5th April 2007.
The theme for the competition is love and here’s a ‘love’ txt poem for Loquax

Ok, so it’s not good enough to enter (as Blackadder would say “it starts off badly, tails off a bit in the middle, and the less said about the ending the better”), but if you can do better (and I’m sure you can) give it a try. Remember, it’s the creative competitions that often attract the fewest entries!
For more inspiration, Luke Wright, the T-Mobile Text laureate has written the ultimate love poem. You’ll also find some other txt poetry, plus links and advice to help you.
