If you’re stuck inside this weekend thanks to the joys of the Great British Summer why not dust off your dancing shoes and try the latest competitions from Ben & Jerry and Chicken Tonight. Both require you to get a bit creative with the old video camera and both want you to do a little bit of dancing. Here are those all important details.
“We feel like chicken tonight…”! Yes that advert is back and you could be on screen dancing away in front of the nation if you win the competition from Chicken Tonight. Download the music, sort out your elbows and dance like a chicken in front of a video camera to wow the judges. You have until the 1st July to upload your entry to their Facebook page.
If you’re lucky enough to be one of the six winners, as chosen by the judges, then note that you’ll then be required for filming between Thursday 12th July and Sunday 15th July 2012. The filming takes place in Leeds and you’ll be expected to be available for the whole period. Don’t worry, Chicken Tonight will take care of you for the duration!
Not keen on being a chicken? How about being a cow?
Ben & Jerry have teamed up with Boadicea, from Sky 1′s Got To Dance, for a Cow Dance competition. Watch the video and learn the steps. To enter you have to make a video performing the same routine – you have to do it alone too. The prize is a year of ice cream plus you’ll have the chance to dance with Boadicea at a live event on the 20th June. Be quick for this one as it ends at 5pm on the 18th June (see terms).
Don’t forget that creative and effort competitions do attract less entries. The prizes may be a little different to the norm, but who needs a new iPad or TV when you can look back on your comping CV and see “starred in a Chicken Tonight Advert” emblazoned across it?
