Every now and then we like to blog about cool prizes – or at least prizes we think are cool. They often tend to be unique once in a lifetime goodies such as a Concrete Truck Mixer or The A Team Van! The latest unusual but fascinatingly cool prize comes from Alton Towers who are currently running a promotion for their greatest “Ride of All TIme”
First off you can visit the site every hour and cast your vote for your favourite ride. Choose between Nemesis, Air, Rita, Thi3teen and Oblivion (it has to be Oblivion!). Login using Facebook or register on site to take part. To encourage you to vote there’s a daily prize draw to win a break at Alton Towers. This closes on 27th August.
Even better than that is this: Alton Towers are offering you the chance to win a place on the design panel for their new ride, scheduled to launch in 2013. You could be giving your input for the next great ride at the theme park.
To enter you have to say why you think you deserve to be on the design panel for their new 2013 ride. We’re thinking that the olde sob stories probably won’t work for this one, so you’re going to have to be clever. It’s a tough competition to gauge in terms of what are Alton Towers as there’s little for you to work on.
Are they after engineers? designers? rollercoaster addicts?
Anyway it might be worth a punt – especially if you like the idea of people screaming in terror as they hurtle round a theme park ride that you had a hand in designing. If we won we’d have a duck themed rollercoaster and call it Loquaxian – if you win you can borrow that idea, we don’t mind!
