Have you ever wanted to be a superhero? Now’s your chance to create your very own character and have the chance to win some fantastic prizes thanks to the new movie Kick Ass. Make a costume, think of a name and upload a video of you in character and you could win a unique movie poster based on your super-hero alter-ego. There’s also a bundle of Kick Ass movie goodies on offer too. Watch the video below and then head on over to Kick-ass on Youtube to take part.
These kind of competitions tend not to attract many entries, but with the Easter holidays coming up why not take a few moments and put together a movie and enter? Perhaps even get the kids involved? The competition closes for entries on the 9th April, and despite being open to all (we think it’s aimed at UK residents) there are currently only 17 entries uploaded. You can see for yourself the “competition” you’re facing.
The downside to the competition is that it requires those dreaded votes! But there’s some good news in that the top 5 videos are then judged by a judging panel consisting of Universal Pictures together an independent third party judge. There’s some random runners up prizes on offer too, so at least there’s a chance of winning something.
Although the prize of a “movie poster” doesn’t sound much, remember it’s a unique one off of you as your superhero character. Is this a job for Duckman we wonder?
About Kick Ass The Movie
Kick Ass tells the story of average teenager Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson), who decides to take his obsession with comic books as inspiration to become a real-life superhero. As any good superhero would, he chooses a new name Kick Ass, assembles a suit and mask to wear, and gets to work fighting crime. There’s only one problem Kick Ass has absolutely no superpowers (official site).
